The fact she admitted to having a tumblr but didn’t want to give it out creates the concept of: one of us, if not many of us, could be mutuals with the author of My Immortal

@thefudge

I can’t believe the author of My Immortal has a tumblr and reads all our My Immortal jokes and theories and all those ‘Hello my name is Ebony Dark’ness Dementia Raven Way’ posts that honestly should be that funny after a while, but still are. She saw her own legend grow, her name become shuddered in myth. She reads it all with an amused smile, clad in her mantle of legend, safe in her knowledge that she is, and always will be, the author of My Immortal.

Then she shuts down her computer and goes off to live her life and DOESN’T SHOUT FROM THE ROOFTOPS THAT SHE WROTE MY INMORTAL WHAT THE TELL TARA. WHAT SUPERHUMAN SELF CONTROL. WHAT SORCERY IS THIS

Just imaginging a tumblr Spartacus moment now.

“I’m Tara!”

“No – I’m Tara!”

*repeat ad infinitum*

(because really at some point in our life we were all Tara, in some way shape or form)

This Is How Much Amazon Has Cut Whole Foods Prices

zumainthyfuture:

With Amazon’s $13.7 billion purchase of Whole Foods Market finalized today, the companies promised that shoppers would see lower prices immediately. We visited a Whole Foods location in California on Monday to see if they delivered—and they did.

While there wasn’t much fanfare to signify the market’s new overlord (you won’t find a cardboard cutout of Jeff Bezos standing at the entrance), customers were surprised to see reduced prices on several bestselling staples, from butter to organic rotisserie chicken. A group of people at the fresh food counter were clucking over the new price of the chicken: it’s now $9.99, down from $13.99. Maybe we’ll be able to keep some of that whole paycheck after all.

We compared prices from the weekend to today. Here are some of the savings we spotted.

365 Everyday Value Organic Large Brown Grade A Eggs

Was: $4.99
Now: $3.99

Organic Fuji Apples

Was: $2.99/pound
Now: $1.99/pound

Note that the apples now come from Washington instead of New Zealand.

365 Everyday Value Organic Salted Butter

Was: $4.99
Now: $4.49

365 Everyday Value Organic Vitamin D Milk

Was: $3.99
Now: $3.49

365 Everyday Value Crunchy Almond Butter

Was: $7.99
Now: $6.99

Atlantic Salmon Filet/Tilapia Filet

Was: $14.99 per pound/$11.99 per pound
Now: $9.99 per pound/$7.99 per pound

Organic Rotisserie Chicken (All Flavors)

Was: $13.99
Now: $9.99

Business Insider has more examples of slashed prices at Whole Foods, including a $4 cut in the cost of local grass-fed 85% lean ground beef. The company plans to continue reducing prices, and in the future, 365 Everyday Value products will also be available through Amazon.com.

When I’m in heterosexual company I find that if the topic of the epidemic comes up in conversation, most people always say the same thing. They tell me how ‘wonderfully’ gay men have responded to AIDS, how ‘marvellously’ the ‘gay community’ has united. They don’t want to know anything whatsoever about the epidemic, but they do like the idea that there is a plucky little community out there on the brutal heath of Tory England, ‘bravely’ holding its own.
